SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PUTNAM COUNTY BOARD

Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at 5:45 P.M.

(Held in the Putnam County Court Room) 

A Special Meeting of the Putnam County Board was called to order at 5:45 P.M. on May 23, 2023, by Putnam County Board Chairman Charlie Lenkaitis.

Roll call was taken by the Clerk of the County Board with Steven Malavolti, Luke Holly, Anthony Rue, and Floyd Holocker answering.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Zoning Administrator, Ryan Giacometti has held several meetings and has met with the State’s Attorney to prepare an Ordinance Amending Sections 14.11, 14.12, and 14.13 To the Wind Energy Conversion Systems and Solar Energy Fields. – Special Use Permit #23-001 Text Amendment. The Putnam County Administrator, hearing officer, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Planning Commission recommend this Ordinance be adopted by the Putnam County Board. Board Member Malavolti made the motion to adopt Ordinance 23-O-4 Amending Sections to Wind Energy Conversion Systems and Solar Energy Fields. Board member Rue seconded the motion and the motion was carried on a board vote of 4 ayes, 0 nays, and 1 absent. Chairman Lenkaitis stated that Ryan has done a great job getting this all put together. The board then thanked Christina and Ryan for everything they have done.

At 5:48 P.M., board member Rue moved to adjourn the special meeting. Board member Holocker seconded the motion and the motion was carried on a board vote of 4 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 absent.
