SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PUTNAM COUNTY BOARD

TUESDAY, JULY 06, 2021, 12:00 P.M.

A Special Meeting of the Putnam County Board was called to order at 12:00 P.M. on July 06, 2021, in the Board Room at the Putnam County Courthouse in Hennepin, Illinois by Putnam County Board Chairman Charlie Lenkaitis. 

Roll call was taken by the Clerk of the County Board with Steven Malavolti, Luke Holly, Tony Rue, Floyd Holocker, and Charles Lenkaitis answering. 

The first order of business for this special meeting was to discuss the American Recovery Act and appoint a committee. Board member Rue made a Motion to form a committee that includes Sheriff Doyle, Lynn Haage, Kevin Kunkle, Tami Mehalic, Christina Mennie, Charlie Lenkaitis. Tony Rue will be an alternate committee member. Sheriff Doyle is appointed Chairman. Board member Holocker seconded the motion and the motion was carried on a roll call board vote 4 ayes, 0 nays. 

The next order of business for this special meeting was to discuss and decide on amending the budget for fiscal year 2020-2021. Board member Rue made a motion to add line item specifically for the American Recovery Act monies. Board member Holocker seconded the motion and the motion was carried on a roll call board vote 4 ayes, 0 nays. 

Regarding the American Recovery Act, States Attorney Christina Judd Mennie asked the board to come up with percentages of pay for the courthouse and sheriff’s office under the American Recovery Act by the next meeting. She also stated she is working on drafting up a resolution.

At 12:25 P.M., board member Rue moved to adjourn the special meeting. Board member Holly

seconded the motion and the motion was carried on a board vote of 4 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 absent.  The next Regular Meeting of the Putnam County Board is scheduled for Monday, July 12, 2021, at 5:30 P.M.
