Election Day is November 5, 2024
Vote by Mail Ballots will be mailed beginning September 26, 2024. All ballots must be postmarked or returned by November 5, 2024.
ALL PERSON'S MAY REGISTER TO VOTE who are citizens of the United States and will be 18 years of age on or before November 5, 2024, GENERAL ELECTION, and will have lived in the State of Illinois and the precinct of residence for 30 days before the date of the General Election. If you are registered but your latest Voter Identification Card does not reflect your current address, you must report the changes in writing. If your name has changed, you must re-register. TUESDAY, OCTOBER 8, 2024, IS THE LAST DAY FOR VOTER REGISTRATION OR TRANSFER of registration with the County Clerk and Deputy Registrars before the GENERAL ELECTION.
EARLY VOTING will be conducted from September 26, 2024, through November 4, 2024 (Monday – Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm) and Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 9:00 a.m. - NOON at the Putnam County Clerk’s Office.
VOTE BY MAIL will begin September 26, 2024. The last day a ballot can be mailed out is Thursday, October 31, 2024.
VOTE BY MAIL APPLICATION: Please go to the Putnam County Website https://putnamil.gov to print your vote-by-mail application. Notice you have 2 options. 1. Vote by Mail (only this election) 2. Permanent Vote by Mail
GRACE PERIOD registration or change of address will begin on OCTOBER 9, 2024, and end on NOVEMBER 5, 2024, only within the County Clerk’s Office. Use of the privilege requires the applicant to vote on the day of application or change of address.
Illinois residents may check their registration online by going to www.elections.il.gov clicking on “voters” and then clicking “Am I Registered to Vote in Illinois”.

This office is required to notify you of the opportunity to request a Vote By Mail Ballot in accordance with the Illinois State Statute (10ILCS5/19-2, 5/19-2.5, 5/19.3).
Sending this postcard to every registered voter is very costly to the county before every election, if you are not interested in getting any future mailings for a Vote by Mail ballot, please OPT OUT and I will no longer send you this postcard. Just to be clear you are only Opting Out of future mailings of this postcard.

Local Public Ballot Question Notice
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at the General Election to be held on Tuesday, the 5th day of November 2024, the following proposition will be submitted to the voters of Community Unit School District Number 535, Putnam, LaSalle and Marshall Counties, Illinois:
Shall the Board of Education of Putnam County Community Unit
School District Number 535, Putnam, LaSalle and Marshall
Counties, Illinois, alter, repair and equip school buildings, including
constructing security and health/life safety improvements,
increasing classroom, cafeteria and gymnasium space and replacing
heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, improve
school sites and issue its bonds to the amount of $34,000,000 for the
purpose of paying the costs thereof?
The polls at the election will be open at 6:00 o’clock A.M. and will continue to be open until 7:00 o’clock P.M. of that day.
