SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PUTNAM COUNTY BOARD

Monday, May 23, 2022, at 12:00 P.M.

A Special Meeting of the Putnam County Board was called to order at 12:03 P.M. on May 23, 2022, by Putnam County Board Chairman Charlie Lenkaitis.

Roll call was taken by the Clerk of the County Board with Steven Malavolti, Luke Holly, Anthony Rue, Floyd Holocker, and Charles Lenkaitis answering.  The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

First on the agenda was to discuss the Resolutions to set salaries for the next 4-year term for County Clerk & Recorder and the Treasurer after a short discussion Chairman Lenkaitis made a motion to give a 3% - year 1, 3% - year 2, 4% - year 3, and 5% - year 4. Board member Holly seconded the motion and the motion was carried on a board vote of 1 aye, 3 nays, and 0 absent.

The motion did not pass. Chairman Lenkaitis opened it up for anyone with another motion. Board member Malavolti made the motion to give a 3% - year 1, 3% - year 2, 4% - year 3, and 4% year 4. Board member Holocker seconded the motion and the motion was carried on a board vote of 4 ayes, 0 nays, and 0 absent. Motion passed.  The Clerk of the County Board was directed to process the Resolution (#2022-06 – Resolution Fixing the Salary of the County Treasurer & 2022-07 – Fixing the Salary of the County Clerk). 

Next on the agenda was to discuss the Resolution to set salaries for the County Board. After a short discussion board member Rue lost connection at approx. 12:30 p.m.  Board member, Holly made the motion to raise attending a regularly scheduled meeting to $75.00 and attending any special or extra committee meeting to $40.00. Board member Holocker seconded the motion and the motion was carried on a board vote of 3 ayes, 0 nays, and 1 absent. Motion passed.

Finally, on the agenda is the application for a Liquor License. After a short discussion board member, Holly made the motion to approve the Liquor License for Florid Inn. Board member Holocker seconded the motion and the motion was carried on a board vote of 3 ayes, 0 nays, and 1 absent.

At 12:45 P.M., board member Holly moved to adjourn the special meeting. Board member Holocker seconded the motion and the motion was carried on a board vote of 3 ayes, 0 nays, and 1 absent.
