MONDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2018

A meeting of the Putnam County Board’s Finance Committee was called to order at 5:30 P.M. on October 15, 2018, in the Board Room at the Putnam County Courthouse in Hennepin, Illinois by Putnam County Board Chairman Steven Malavolti. 

Roll call was taken with Duane Calbow, Sheila Haage, William Holmes, Steven Malavolti, and Luke Holly answering.  Also present for the meeting were County Probation Officer Patricia Hohulin and Deputy County Clerk & Recorder Mary Ann Brouwer. 

This meeting of the Putnam County Board’s Finance Committee was called to discuss the Annual Appropriation Ordinance (budget) for the Fiscal Year beginning December 1, 2018 and ending November 30, 2019.  The committee discussed the freeze of the previously approved salary increase of 1%.  The committee agreed to meet on October 24, 2018, at 8:30 A.M. and again on October 31, 2018, at 8:30 A.M. to discuss with each of the office holders and department heads their respective budgets for next fiscal year (December 1, 2018 thru November 30, 2019).  Each office holder and department head will be allowed 30 minutes for their discussion with the committee.  

At 7:10 P.M., the meeting was suspended until a date yet to be determined.  At that time, the Finance Committee will meet to continue the budgetary process for Fiscal Year December 1, 2018 through November 30, 2019.  The next Regular Meeting of the Putnam County Board is scheduled for Tuesday, November 13, 2018, at 5:30 P.M.
