MONDAY, OCTOBER 1, 2018

5:30 P.M.

A meeting of the Putnam County Board’s Finance Committee was called to order at 5:30 P.M. on October 1, 2018, in the Board Room at the Putnam County Courthouse in Hennepin, Illinois by Putnam County Board Chairman Steven Malavolti. 

Roll call was taken with Sheila Haage, William Holmes, and Steven Malavolti answering.  Board members Duane Calbow and Luke Holly were absent for the roll call.  Also present for the meeting were County Treasurer Kevin Kunkel, County Supervisor of Assessments Tammy Mehalic, Deputy County Clerk & Recorder Mary Ann Brouwer, and Mr. Jay Debates.  

This meeting of the Putnam County Board’s Finance Committee was called to discuss the Annual Appropriation Ordinance (budget) for the Fiscal Year beginning December 1, 2018 and ending November 30, 2019.  County Treasurer Kevin Kunkel discussed the State’s Attorney’s salary reimbursement increase from the State of Illinois.  Mr. Kunkel also discussed the distribution of taxes.  The committee then reviewed the appropriations / budget figures for the next fiscal year.  

At 6:40 P.M., the meeting was suspended until a date yet to be determined.  At that time, the Finance Committee will meet to continue the budgetary process for Fiscal Year December 1, 2018 through November 30, 2019.  The next Regular Meeting of the Putnam County Board is scheduled for Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at 5:30 P.M.
