SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PUTNAM COUNTY BOARD

MONDAY, JULY 29, 2019, 5:00 P.M.

A Special Meeting of the Putnam County Board was called to order at 5:00 P.M. on July 29, 2019, in the Board Room at the Putnam County Courthouse in Hennepin, Illinois by Putnam County Board Chairman Steven Malavolti. 

Roll call was taken by the Clerk of the County Board with Sheila Haage, Steven Malavolti, and Brad Popurella answering.  Board members Luke Holly and Charles Lenkaitis were unable to be present for the meeting and were absent for the roll call.  Also present for the meeting was Treasurer Kevin Kunkel and a members of the press.     

This Special Meeting of the Putnam County Board was called to approve the adoption of a “Resolution Amending The 2018-2019 Budget”.    

The first order of business was the approval of the minutes from the July 15, 2019, Special Meeting of the Putnam County Board.  Board member Sheila Haage moved that the board approve the minutes from the July 15, 2019, Special Meeting of the Putnam County Board.  Board member Brad Popurella seconded the motion and the motion was carried on a roll call board vote of 3 ayes, 0 nays, and 2 absent (the board chairman voted due to the absence of two (2) board members). 

The board then discussed the amendment of the Fiscal Year 2018-2019 budget.  The board reviewed the draft of the “Resolution Amending The 2018-2019 Budget” as prepared by the State’s Attorney.  It was noted that the month (June) in the third paragraph on page 1 of the resolution was incorrect and should be corrected to July.  After further discussion, board member Brad Popurella moved that the board approve and adopt the resolution contingent upon the correction noted.  Board member Sheila Haage seconded the motion and the motion was carried on a roll call board vote of 3 ayes, 0 nays, and 2 absent (the board chairman voted due to the absence of two (2) board members).  The Clerk of the County Board was directed to process the Resolution #2019-10.                             

At 5:05 P.M., board member Sheila Haage moved to adjourn the special meeting.  Board member Brad Popurella seconded the motion and the motion was carried on a board vote of 3 ayes, 0 nays, and 2 absent (the board chairman voted due to the absence of two (2) board members).  The next Regular Meeting of the Putnam County Board is scheduled for Monday, August 12, 2019, at 8:30 A.M.
