A Message From The Office of Dan Kuhn, Your Putnam County Clerk and Election Authority
Putnam County Clerk and Election Authority, Dan Kuhn, would like to announce that nomination papers (petitions) for the General Primary Election to be held on March 18, 2014, are now available at the Office of the Putnam County Clerk or at the Illinois State Board of Elections website at www.elections.il.gov. The first day to circulate the nomination papers (petitions) for established political parties is Tuesday, September 3, 2013 (10 ILCS 5/7-10). County offices that are up for nomination at the March primary are as follows; County Clerk & Recorder, County Treasurer, County Sheriff, and three (3) seats on the County Board.
Nomination papers (petitions) for Democratic and Republican Precinct Committee Persons are also available and may also be circulated beginning Tuesday, September 3, 2013. These party offices are elected at the General Primary.
The filing dates for the nomination papers (petitions) are November 25th through December 2nd, 2013, at the Office of the Putnam County Clerk.
